The officer writes Hyde citations for speeding, texting, and driving, as well as failing to provide the officer with his registration. Hyde requested that her supervisor respond, as well as a backup unit, citing “the driver being extremely uncooperative.”

“We’re going to make sure she pays for being disrespectful,” Hyde told one of the officers who arrived as backup.

The congressional candidate then threatened the officer’s career with the police department.

“She believed she was on a massive power trip. What do you think? She’s been there seven years; she’s not going to make it to eight. I’ll make certain of it. She isn’t “Hyde stated.

However, following the hatred that he got because of this action, he issued a public apology. “I tried to bully her,” Hyde said of the traffic stop on February 14. “I’m not proud of myself.”
