Deion Sanders’ son Shilo Sanders, the current Colorado Buffaloes safety, will be eligible for the 2024 NFL Draft, it is being projected.

He is currently playing in his fifth season of college football. Shilo still has a year of college eligibility left. Before declaring for the NFL Draft, college football players must play in at least three seasons at the NCAA level. Shilo Sanders is currently finishing his fifth NCAA football season. This makes him more than eligible to go pro.

Although Shilo could have announced for the 2023 NFL Draft, he instead chose to partake in another year of college football to improve his Draft stock.

Who is Shilo Sanders?

Shilo Sanders is 23 years old. He was born on February 9, 2000, in Texas. His parents, Deion and Pilar, got divorced in 2011. After that, in March 2013, the court decided that Deion would take care of Shilo and his brother and sister most of the time.

Shilo’s father is former NFL star and current coach of Colorado Buffaloes, Deion Sanders, and his little brother is Shedeur, who also plays for the same team as him. His sister is Shelomi. Besides them, he also has step-brothers and step-sisters, Deion Sanders Jr. and Deiondra Sanders.

Shilo became the talk of the nation after the team scored a big win against the 17th-best team, TCU. Shilo played safety and helped his team win 45-42 in the season’s first game.

Shilo Sanders is currently single and not dating anyone.

Shilo Sanders NFL draft projection

Shilo Sanders was projected to be the 110th-best DB in the country by some experts following the 2022 college football season. However, this ranking was not above average when it came to his prospect of getting drafted.

Shilo’s last collegiate team, Jackson State, wasn’t playing in a super competitive conference. So going forward, if Shilo can carve out a niche as a starter for the Buffaloes, his draft stock could look more promising.

Shilo must dominate the PAC-12 conference and the Big-12 to shoot up the draft boards.
