Our Experience with the Saybrook Pillow

My husband has given me the nickname “The Pillow Queen,” because I love to sleep with lots of pillows. That usually means stacking at least three pillows of different firmness for a good night’s rest, so I was excited to try out ONE Saybrook pillow that could have everything I needed. The pillow arrived compact in a chic, cylinder Saybrook bag, and when I took it out, it immediately began to fluff up. (If you put it in the dryer on no heat, it fluffs up even faster!) The pillow felt like it was the perfect fit for me, so I decided not to remove any of the memory foam. What I did remove were ALL of my other pillows, and to my surprise, I got an even better sleep with just this one pillow. The quality is so high and I didn’t wake up with a sore neck or back! The Pillow Queen now only needs a Saybrook in her kingdom.

It only took two nights for me to realize that the Saybrook adjustable pillow was the one I have been looking for! As a side-sleeper myself, it’s the perfect mixture of soft and supportive for my head and neck. When it arrived in its compact packaging, I removed it from the sleeve and allowed it to fluff up for a couple of hours before giving it a try. After sleeping on it as-is for the first night, I removed a few handfuls of filling for my second night and that made all the difference! I woke up feeling refreshed with no sore neck! I will definitely be recommending this to anyone currently having trouble sleeping. 

Five nights in and I’m totally sold on the Saybrook Lion Down pillow! The woven design on the zippered pillow covering is attractive and smooth to the touch, and the pillow plumped up quickly after I removed it from the vacuum-sealed packaging. I used it as-is for the first two nights and it was very comfortable, but on the third night, I removed about 20% of the filling and now it’s perfect! I’m going to have to order a second one for my husband — I’ve been waking up in the middle of the night to find him sharing my pillow!

The pillow arrives with the memory foam densely packed. It’s counterintuitive, but if you remove some filling first to give the memory foam some space to expand and then fluff it to introduce some air, the pillow will have more loft. This will also make the pillow feel softer.
