He then returned to film in the drama “Gracie” which is based on a true story, then in 2010 he reprised his role in “As the World Turns”, before co-starring in the film “In Time”. He also made consistent guest appearances in various popular television series, including “CSI: Miami” and “The Mentalist”, and in 2012 he appeared in the short-lived series “The Mob Doctor”, before starring in the Lifetime original movie entitled “Jodi Arias: Dirty Little Secret”.

In 2013, Jesse joined the cast of the series “Chicago PD” playing the role of Detective Jay Halstead, continuing to be a part of the show, and also plays his character in “Chicago Fire”, and “Chicago Med”, in all of which he does his own stunts.

For his personal life, it is known that Soffer had a relationship with actress Sophia Bush, but it eventually ended in 2015. Jesse continues to be officially single.
