Ryan Garcia was called a ‘f*****g p***y’ and seemingly challenged to a fight by ex-UFC star Sean Strickland on Monday, after breaking his silence on a disturbing video that appeared on his social media accounts.
Speaking about the scary clip, which claimed he was dead, Garcia said in a video posted to X on Monday that he did not have his phone, couldn’t access his Instagram and was ‘being taken advantage of.’
But Strickland did not care to hear Garcia speak about the situation, replying, ‘God I hate famous people. Bro you are f*****g RICH…. They’re kids in salt mines, kids dying of cancer begging for one more day on this earth and you’re having a mental break down on social media.. You f*****g p****…’
To that, Garcia responded, ‘If you knew God you wouldn’t hate anyone. You went on and Took advantage of a streamer who was someone with no [experience],’ which was a reference to his aggressive sparring session with streamer Sneako.
‘And you gave him a concussion. You think you are doing a service but really you are just a bully coming in the name of a hero.’

Strickland then fired back, ‘You get what you want?? Did enough people tell you they love you??? Do you feel better??? You get enough attention lmao!!! Next time just be a man and pull the mother f****r don’t press post haha f*****g woman…’
‘I lost brain cells reading that!, Garcia then said. ‘Please show me how serious you are to actually handling this like men!! But let’s actually be serious no internet stuff.’
Strickland then appeared to challenge Garcia to a fight, writing, ‘Las Vegas my man…. roll through…’
The exchange on X comes after footage – offering a brief glimpse of an unidentifiable man in a house – was posted to Garcia’s X and Instagram accounts, with both posts accompanied by equally alarming captions.
‘We got him boys. RYAN GARCIA RIP B***H. 666,’ was written over the clip, ‘Video is exactly 666 in time. WE TOLD YOU WE WERE COMING.’ A stream of random letters followed.
Garcia’s ex-wife, Andrea Celina, confirmed that Garcia was alive but said he was ‘not fine’
‘MARCH 3 SUNDAY 2024 we slit RG THROAT AND THRU HIM IN A BASKET NOBODY WILL FIND HIM BSABJANANANANANAJQKA ANAIQNANSBSNANABA A SNSNSNWKWNA S ANANSNSN SATAN SITTING AT THE TOP NOW. 666,’ the message that accompanies the X post reads.
However, Garcia insisted on Monday that he was alright.
‘I would personally want to just send out a video to the people that love me and my fans, family that’s concerned that I’m okay. I’m not dead, I believe in Jesus, all those [rumors] are lies.’
Garcia’s ex-wife and the mother of his child, Andrea Celina, confirmed she had spoken to him, but was less positive about the boxer’s current state.
‘If all my followers who are believers can you please pray for Ryan,’ she wrote on her Instagram story.
‘We are not together and i’ve been in contact with him and he may seen fine but he is not. I know in my heart he is being heavily oppressed. This is not a troll, I’m genuinely concerned and so is all his family members. We are not part of any of this and want him to get better but this IS REAL. Pray for him.’
His dad, Henry Garcia, also provided a brief update when a fan commented on one of his past Instagram posts.
The coach reassured them that his son was ‘just trolling’ but hinted there was more going on behind the scenes.
Garcia has insisted he is OK, but has said he has lost access to some prized possessions
He is due to fight Devin Haney (left) in a grudge match next month, on April 2
‘Yes Ryan is ok , he’s just trolling the wrong way,’ he wrote in response to the fan asking if Garcia Jr. was okay. ‘No there’s more to it. Trust,’ Henry later added.
Meanwhile, Matchroom promoter Eddie Hearn admitted he’s become increasingly concerned about Garcia’s behavior.
Hearn said, ‘He just didn’t seem himself at the presser, if I am honest.’
‘I think that I have been around a lot of people and a lot of fighters that I have seen go through problems and I have never been wrong when I’ve thought to myself ‘this person has got an issue here’.
Garcia is due to face Devin Haney on April 20.
